Known details re vehicle (A) depicted above:
 - Japanese markings (& nameplates on trucks)
 - located at Vunamami, near Rabaul 1981.
- they had been recently uncovered in the scrub, and towed to
  the site where photographed.
- the vehicles may have been part of one group/unit.
Thoughts:  Searchlight battery ? Mobile Power supply unit ? Communications ?
